What can I expect from therapy?
Therapy typically starts with once a week sessions that are 60 min. in length and can be spaced out to biweekly or monthly as you begin to see progress.

We spend the first few sessions getting to know each other and will complete an assessment, while also addressing any immediate concerns or issues coming up in your life. We will also be coming up with goals to work on in therapy together.
​
Therapy is an individualized process! We are client centered and tailor sessions to meet your needs. Clients are active participants in the process and in coming up with treatment goals. Together we will address areas of concern, identify patterns and develop insight about the way you operate in your world. We will work on coping strategies and skills to use outside of session.
How long should I attend therapy for?

Everyone's needs are unique to them. Short term therapy usually involves 6-12 sessions, medium term therapy can extend up to 24 sessions, and long term therapy can continue beyond those.
The decision regarding length of time can depend on a number of factors including history, treatment goals, progress made, and support needed. We do note that therapy is not a "quick fix", but rather a process. It can take some time to build trust, connection and rapport together and to achieve your goals.

If you decide to end therapy for any reason, we always recommend a termination session to review progress together and provide recommendations to maintain the progress you have made.

Do you see client's in person or by telehealth?
Sessions are offered Monday-Friday between the hours of 9am-5pm depending on session availability.

Sessions can be held In Person at our Walpole location or via Telehealth depending on your preference and session availability.
